Duty allotted for election officers

Coimbatore: Election officers in the district were allotted their duties and orders in this regard were issued to them on Thursday.

District Election Officer and Collector P. Umanath in a press release said that all the election officers had been allotted their duties in respective constituencies in the district.

The statement said that duty for the election officers were allotted based on computerised system and hence, no request for change would be accepted.

Persons, who were allotted the Valparai constituency need not work in hill areas of the constituency as persons in the hilly areas were already posted there.

The statement also said that officers from other areas who were posted in Valparai should work in Kottur and Anaimalai region and not in Valparai hills.
