All set for SSLC examination

Hassan: As many as 24,401 candidates will appear for the SSLC examination, beginning Friday, in 106 centres across Hassan district.
The Deputy Commissioner has imposed prohibitory orders in a radius of 200 m from all the centres.
Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) A.T. Chamaraj said 15 centres had been classified as sensitive and one hypersensitive.
As many as 2,709 repeaters and 886 private candidates are among those who have registered for the examination.
Mr. Chamaraj said that last year Hassan district stood in 18th place by registering 74 per cent passes. “This time we are aiming to improve the results and figure among the top-10 districts,” the DDPI added.
28,967 candidates

The district administration has made preparations for smooth conduct of the SSLC examination.
In a press release issued here on Thursday, Deputy Commissioner S.S. Pattanshetty stated that 28,967 candidates, including 11,999 girls, had registered for the examination.
As many as 999 repeaters and 591 private candidates are among those who have registered for the examination.
Of the 97 examination centres in the district, four have been identified as hypersensitive and six sensitive. Prohibitory orders had been clamped around the examination centres, the release said.
