BANGALORE: Farman Basha of Karnataka was declared the ‘strongman of India' in the just concluded National Powerlifting championship for Physically Challenged at Nagpur, according to press release. Farman Basha, a silver medallist at the Asian Para Games in China last year lifted 157.5 kgs in the 48 kgs category for the gold.
Shiv Kumar, also from Karnataka with a lift of 100 kgs settled for bronze in the same weight category.
Pathiappa Kumaraswamy with a lift of 85 kgs won the bronze in the 56 kgs.
