Distribution of booth slips at doorstep

TIRUVARUR: Booth slips will be distributed to voters at their doorsteps by the respective booth-level polling officials in the four Assembly constituencies of the district on April 3 and 4, according to a press release issued here by K. Baskaran, Collector on Friday.
Voters in the Tiruvarur, Thiruthuraipoondi, Mannargudi and Nannilam Assembly constituencies will be issued with the slips, that will be handed over either to the head of the family or others. Those who do not receive the booth slips can contact the following numbers in the respective taluks to get the slips: Tiruvarur taluk: 04366-222379, Nannilam: 04366-230456, Kodavasal:04366-252056, Valangaiman: 04374-264456, Needamangalam: 04367-260456, Mannargudi:04367-222291 and Thiruthuraipoondi 04369-222456.
Pudukottai
Work on distribution of the slips that commenced in the Viralimali and Aranthangi Assembly constituencies on Friday, will be completed on Saturday.
In a release here on Friday, the Collector said the distribution of the slips to voters of the Pudukottai constituency would be taken up on April 2 and 3; in the Gandaravakottai and Alankudi constituencies on April 3 and 4; and in the Tirumayam constituency on April 4 and 5. She said that while distributing the slips, the elector photo identity cards for fresh voters would also be distributed. Only officials drafted for the purpose of distributing the slips would visit every house. The Election Commission has notified April 13 as a public holiday in view of the election to the Tamil Nadu Assembly, the Collector added.
Perambalur
Collector Vijayakumarsaid slips would be distributed to voters in the Perambalur and Kunnam constituencies on April 5 and 6. Complaints on distribution of booth slips could be lodged with the taluk officials over the following telephone numbers: 9443052049 (Perambalur); 9443674151 (Veppanthattai); 9786672151 (Kunnam) and 8973534947 (Senthurai).
