J&K Government clears 250 passports for militants' kin
Jammu: As many as 250 cases related to the issuance of passports to the kin of militants have been cleared, Jammu and Kashmir Government said on Friday.
Responding to a point raised by an independent MLA, Engineer Rashid, in the Legislative Assembly during zero hour, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammad Sagar told the house that as many as 250 cases related to the issuance of passports to the kins of militants have been cleared by the State Government.
Mr. Sagar further said that orders have been issued in this regard on the directions of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
“Chief Minister's orders are being implemented in letter and spirit,” Mr. Sagar said, adding that only those who are themselves involved in acts of militancy will not be issued clearances. – PTI
