Poll work orders for teachers at meet today

Staff Reporter

Training session will be held on Sunday, says Collector

DINDIGUL: All teachers on election duty should attend the election meeting scheduled on April 2 without fail to collect work orders, said Collector M. Vallalar.

In a release here on Friday, he said that the first, second and third level polling officials would know the place and time of work and allotted polling stations at this meeting.

Village administrative officers and revenue officials will impart training to them and work orders will be issued to the teachers. The order will have all details including name and place of polling station, position of the official and nature of work.

Those who do not receive the orders may contact the concerned tahsildar or the respective taluk offices and collect necessary orders meant for poll duty.

The next phase of training session will be held on April 3 at a training centre established in all the seven assembly constituencies, he added.

Maintain registers

Candidates should produce accounts thrice before the expenditure officials, said Mr. Vallalar.

Giving a series instructions to political candidates and independents in connection with poll expenses at a special meeting held at Collectorate on Thursday evening, he said that the expenses register should be filled on daily basis. If there were no expenses on a particular day, he should fill the column as nil.

Total expenses should be calculated every day and the balance amount at the end of the day should be mentioned in the register.

Expenditure account should be maintained as per form 14.

In case of cash transaction, it should be mentioned in cash register.

“All money transactions should be done through bankers' cheque only. Cash payment can be made to meet certain small expenses. But receipt is essential to account those expenses.”

Candidate should have opened a bank account one day before filing his nomination.

Each and every candidate should maintain Part A, B and C Registers.

If one register was completed, they should start maintaining sub-register. The candidate should give acknowledgement on acceptance of every register, he advised.
