‘Prajavani programmes will be initiated soon ‘State-of-the-art call centre is being set up ' HYDERABAD: The Central Power Distribution Company of A.P. Limited (CPDCL) has tied up with eSeva for issue of new service connections and also applications for regularising additional loads in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area. Consumer Day Addressing the Consumer Day meeting organised at Mint Compound on Saturday, the CPDCL Chairman and Managing Director M.T. Krishna Babu said the tie-up with eSeva had come into effect from Friday. The CPDCL Chairman said that Prajavani programmes would be initiated soon to receive and solve grievances from consumers. Effective service Towards providing more effective service to the consumers, a state-of-the-art call centre was being set up and the work for this was awarded to Tata Consultancy Services for completion by May, Mr. Krishna Babu said. In the GHMC area, all 33 kv lines were being laid underground at a cost of Rs. 150 crore. Expenditure During next two years, the CPDCL would be spending around Rs.1,200 crore on works like construction of substations, lines and augmentation of substations and transformers, he added.
