KURNOOL: The CPI and CPI(ML) New Democracy staged a demonstration against US attacks on Libya at Raj Vihar Centre here on Sunday. CPI district secretary K. Ramanjaneyulu and CPI(ML) New Democracy leader P. Gokari said the US was carrying out its hegemonic attacks on Iraq, Afghanistan and now on Libya to keep its tight grip over Arab world with an eye on oil reserves. They alleged that the US military actions everywhere in the world had an economic angle and its argument of terrorism had no substance. They urged the Indian leadership to spell out its displeasure over Libyan action saying the silence would further embolden the United States.
