Babu scalps six

KARAIKUDI: B. Babu scalped six as DCC Juniors defeated Young Blood CC by 41 runs in the TNCA-Sivaganga DCA ‘B' division cricket league here.

The scores: A div.: Knights CC 196 for eight in 30 overs (Sikandar Lingam 32, Pandimuthu 38, C.S. Anandkumar three for 42) bt Sekkalai CC 126 in 27.5 overs (Senthilarasan 42, R. Varadarajan three for 11).

DCC ‘A' 76 in 23.4 overs (Ganesh Raja three for 22, T. Selvaganapathy three for five, R. Ragavan three for 20) lost to DCC 77 for one in 8.3 overs (Sakthivel 53).

B div.: Young Blood CC 136 in 29.4 overs (D.P. Raja 44, K. Thavasilingam three for 14) lost to AUCPE 138 for three in 20 overs (R. Chandran 54).

DCC Juniors 122 in 24.3 overs (S. Thavaselan 32, Raghu 27, Guna four for 33) bt Young Blood CC 81 in 21.2 overs (Praveen 26, B. Babu six for 13).

C div.: Moonlight CC 98 in 20 overs lost to CECRI CC 99 for six in 18.1 overs (Ravikumar three for 11).
