Ernakulam downs Pathanamthitta
IRINJALAKUDA: Ernakulam boys overcame Pathanamthitta 39-18 in the opening match of the 38th sub-junior State basketball championship at the Christ Vidyaniketan indoor stadium on Friday.
In other matches, in the boys' section, Thrissur beat Idukki 29-10 while Wayand edged out Kollam 20-19. In the girls' section, Wayanad, Ernakulam and Palakkad recorded wins on the first day.
