Wage hike for RTC crew

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has announced an increase in wages to 9,689 drivers, 8,614 conductors and 26 artisan/mechanics and shramik/sweepers working on contract basis, with effect from May 1.

The Corporation's Executive Director (Human Resources Development), G.V. Ramana Rao, said the consolidated monthly wages for drivers had been fixed at Rs. 7,180 (from Rs. 5,381), conductors at Rs. 6,570 (Rs. 4,397), artisans/mechanics Rs. 6,810 (Rs. 4,669) and shramiks/sweepers Rs. 5,670 (Rs. 3,485).
