Looking forward to playing more cricket: Kohli Time for the fans to fill up the stadium: Lawson KOCHI: For all those who are worried that the recent ICC World Cup would leave the Indian cricketers with little energy for the Indian Premier League, young star Virat Kohli had the answers. “I don't worry too much about that… I am looking forward to playing more and more cricket. I am looking to give more than hundred per cent now,” said the Royal Challengers Bangalore star on the eve of the team's IPL opener against host Kochi Tuskers Kerala at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Friday. “The IPL is a different platform but we a take a lot of confidence from the World Cup into this as well,” said the 22-year-old Kohli. “The confidence will help me and Zak (Zaheer Khan) here.” The strong Indian presence in the Bangalore team will give a big boost to the side, said Kohli. “To do well in the IPL, you need good Indian players. We are a good combination of youngsters and international stars. The most challenging thing is to gel as a team,” he said. Bangalore will not be taking Kochi Tuskers lightly. “I think they are a good side, you cannot underestimate any team in the IPL,” said Kohli. Mystery factor Meanwhile, Geoff Lawson said that the IPL was a sort of mystery factor for the Tuskers but that would not hamper his side. “It's a big unknown, the stadium is new but look at the line-up… we have a very good chance, we'll be disappointed if we are not successful,” said the former Australian fast bowler. “It's now time for the fans to fill up the stadium and come and support the players.” Lawson also hinted that V.V.S. Laxman, who has given the country some very special moments in Tests, could be playing in Kochi's IPL opener. “He has a fair chance of playing… he wants to be a part of the competition, he has every chance of playing.”
