Evaluation hit as PU teachers protest

MYSORE: Pre-university teachers held a protest here on Friday seeking enhancement of emoluments and rectification of pay anomalies, among other demands. The agitation affected the evaluation of PU students' answer scripts. The evaluators, who are members of the Karnataka State Pre-University College Lecturers' Association, sought revision of their salary structure and said there had been tremendous disparity between the pay of PU teachers and that of principals. The protesters urged the Government to constitute a committee to study and address the difference in pay. The teachers also sought interim relief.
