‘Parents must become role models'

MANGALORE: Parents should be role models for their children as there are very few role models in society, U.V. Shenoy, Professor in Paediatrics, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangalore, has said. He was speaking at the annual general body meeting of the parent-teacher association held at Besant English School recently. Guidance by parents and teachers can assist in developing the personalities of children, he said.

Smart classes

Two city schools have begun “smart” classes, says a press release. Suraj International Higher Primary School and Jnana Deepa High School started smart classes. Called “Edu Com Smart Class”, they were inaugurated last Thursday by T.C. Shivashankar Murthy, Vice-Chancellor, Mangalore University.
