KURNOOL: TDP district president Somisetty Venkateswarlu said Kadapa byelection was thrust upon the voters by Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy who wants to settle scores with the Congress. Talking to reporters here on Monday, he alleged that Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy is blackmailing the Congress for Chief Minister's post. He said once the issues are resolved, Mr. Reddy would join the Congress. People should understand the intention behind this mock battle between the two Congress groups which do not intend to hurt any other group seriously, he alleged Mr. Somisetty, who was posted to Proddatur as election coordinator of the party, appealed to voters to vote for the party to bring in an era of peace in the town. He said Byreddy Rajasekar Reddy, B.T. Naidu, K.E. Prabhakar, N.Md Farooq, Ahmed Hussain, B.V. Mohan Reddy, Irigela Rampulla Reddy, Masala Padmaja and others from Kurnool district are working in their designated areas in the byelection. He said the party will highlight the corrupt practices indulged in by Mr. Jagnmohan Reddy during YSR's tenure.
