Police release sketch of man who parcelled body
Staff Reporter
The sketch of the suspect
NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police on Wednesday released the sketch of the person who parcelled the body of a woman to Ajmer through a transport agency in Lahori Gate here. They also announced a reward of Rs.50,000 for any information in the case.
The sketch was drawn based on the inputs of the transport agency employees and the closed-circuit television camera grab.
“We have announced a cash reward of Rs.50,000 for anyone providing information leading to the identification of the body or the arrest of the suspect,” said a senior police officer.
Meanwhile, the police are also making efforts to release the sketch of the rickshaw-puller in whose rickshaw the trunk was brought to the agency. “We still have little information about the rickshaw-puller as he did not interact with the employees of the transport agency. Still we are making efforts to draw his sketch based on whatever information we have. Several rickshaw-pullers are also being questioned to identify him,” said the officer.
Meanwhile, four more families approached the Delhi Police and Rajasthan Police on Wednesday to identify the body, but there was no breakthrough.
The trunk carrying the body was booked by the person on April 2 evening. He had identified himself as “B” and mentioned “self” as the recipient.
