CPI (M) demands all-party meet

HYDERABAD: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has demanded that the government convene a meeting of all political parties and students' unions to clear the apprehensions being raised on the continuance of fee reimbursement.

In a letter addressed to Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, CPI (M) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu expressed concern over reports that the government was contemplating to significantly reduce the number of students availing the fee reimbursement facility. Instructions were reportedly issued to officials to extend the benefit for students' upto graduation setting aside those enrolled in post graduate courses and this had become a cause of concern for student community.
