Police verifying Bhanu's visit to Chittoor

HYDERABAD: City police are verifying reports that Bhanu Prasad, who is evading police in the murder of Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri, was in Chittoor six days ago.
Rumours were doing rounds that Bhanu had gone to Tirupati last week and met his old friend who is an ex-Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency member on April 7. He reportedly collected some cash from his friend and sent feelers to the police that he wanted to surrender.
Unconfirmed reports said Bhanu disappeared before the police responded. The police, however, refuted reports that their teams had gone to Tirupati on receiving feelers from Bhanu for surrender.
