HYDERABAD: A four-year-old girl, Basavalingamma, died after accidentally slipping into a sump at Gowlidoddi in Miyapur on Thursday.
Her parents, Chanappa and Sujatha, both labourers, were engaged by a contractor for digging work at HMT Swarnapuri. They took their daughter to the workplace. While they were working, the girl, who was loitering around, strayed into inside an adjacent plot and slid into the sump. By the time her parents realised that their child was missing and were on the lookout for her, the girl died.
