Best of India's Jewellery Show begins tomorrow

Actor Ramya at the launch of Best of India's Jewellery Show in Bangalore on Wednesday.

BANGALORE: Timed to coincide with the build-up toward Akshaya Tritiya, Best of India's Jewellery Show (BIJS) was organised by the Art of Jewellery and Jeweller's Association of Bangalore here on Wednesday.

An exclusive jewellery preview by the BIJS 2011 brand ambassador, actor Ramya was the highlight of the event. The first edition of the three-day exhibition is scheduled to begin on April 15 at Tripuravasini, Palace Grounds.

Ms. Ramya said: “Jewellery today has evolved with the market [offering] more choices for consumers. Avenues like BIJS 2011 provide an ideal platform for consumers to be updated with new trends across country and select the best for themselves.”

BIJS will showcase the latest jewellery collections of over 150 players from the jewellery industry in India and across the globe. These include some of the leading names Abaran, C. Krishniah Chetty and Sons, Neelkanth, Arnav among others. The exhibition has a special pavilion for Kundan-Meenakumari work from Jaipur.
