Ex-gratia amount for Sonu Sinha

NEW DELHI: The Union Sports Minister, Ajay Maken, on Wednesday announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 25,000 for athlete Sonu Sinha, who lost one of her legs after falling down from a train near Bareily.

Mr. Maken has said that the Ministry would extend all possible help to Sonu, a football and volleyball player.

He has also written to the Railway Minister, Mamta Banerjee, and the Railway Board requesting them to conduct a thorough enquiry.
