Now, file complaints and get cash rewards

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) employees and the general public can earn cash rewards if they provide genuine source of information regarding corruption and malpractices in the organisation, which has come under the scanner of the CBI.

The informant will have to provide complete details, including evidence, to the Chief Vigilance Officer to be eligible to win a cash reward ranging from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 25,000. The information will have to stand scrutiny of the vigilance division and enable it to take preventive or punitive action on the basis of the particulars provided.

However, no one can claim more than four rewards with a cash limit of Rs. 50,000 in a financial year.

While the identity of the informant will be kept confidential, the NHAI will initiate department or penal action if the informant is found to have given false information.
