Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Congress has roped in Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi to campaign for the ruling party candidates in the by-elections to Kadapa Parliamentary constituency and Pulivendula Assembly segment and woo the backward class voters.

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy held a meeting with Mr. Chiranjeevi at the camp office on Saturday night where the in-charge Ministers of seven Assembly segments in Kadapa constituency were also present.

Mr. Chiranjeevi is said to have agreed to campaign in Kadapa and Pulivendula for two days each. The schedule is not yet drawn.

After the meeting, Mr. Kiran drove down to the residence of former Chief Minister K. Rosaiah and was closeted with him for 30 minutes discussing the poll strategy to be adopted in the two constituencies.
