State honours for royal war hero

THOUSANDS BID ADIEU:The body of the former Jaipur Maharaja Bhawani Singh (80) lies in state at the City Palace in Jaipur on Monday. Brigadier (retired) Bhawani Singh passed away in a Gurgaon hospital late on Saturday night. The 1971 war hero was later cremated at the royal grounds with full state honours. A large number of people lined the route of the funeral procession to bid adieu to the Rajput braveheart. —
