FROM REAL LIFE:Seby exhibiting his paintings at the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi art gallery in Thrissur.

Thrissur: An exhibition of paintings titled ‘Rest' by Seby, a school teacher, is currently being held at Kerala Lalithakala Akademi's Art Gallery here.

The exhibition, comprising a cache of 28 graphite, oil and acrylic contemporary figurative paintings, ponders over socio-political anarchy, lethargy of the current society and emotional and intellectual dilemmas of human beings.

The series gives expression to the nuances of human feelings and emotions in an exceptionally subtle way. Mr. Seby attempts to portray the complexities and confusions of man in the modern world.

“Subjects of my paintings are derived from my observations and real life experiences.” Each frame portrays a plethora of complexities and fear in man's subconscious mind. A self-taught painter, ‘Rest' is Sebi's first solo exhibition in oil and acrylic media.

The exhibition will continue till May 20.
