Chekhov's ‘The Bear' to be staged tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Russian play ‘The Bear' will be staged at the Russian Cultural Centre here on Wednesday. The event is part of the ongoing cultural and scientific festival to mark the golden jubilee of Yuri Gagarin's space flight.

A press note issued here on Monday said ‘The Bear' was one of the famous plays of Anton Chekhov.

The play is directed by film and theatre actor Jaganathan. Raja Warrier, Ambikatmajan Nair and Sushama will play the major roles.

The play will begin at 6.30 p.m. Entry will be free.
