Notices served on 13 nursing homes, clinics

MYSORE: The district administration has served notices on 13 nursing homes and clinics in Mysore city, citing lack of infrastructure and the District Health Officer has been asked to examine the facilities at these establishments.

According to Deputy Commissioner Harsh Gupta here on Monday these steps were taken in public interest.

A team of officers, led by the District Health Officer, inspected some clinics and nursing homes here on April 16.

Such inspections would continue.

Senior officers of the Health Department had been asked to keep tabs on such establishments, Mr. Gupta said in a press release here. The Deputy Commissioner warned unqualified persons running clinics or nursing homes that their establishments would be immediately shut down.
