Kadapa
On campaign trail: TDP workers taking out a rally to Kadapa Collectorate in support of M.V. Mysoora Reddy, who filed his nomination papers on Monday. KADAPA: Rajya Sabha member M.V. Mysoora Reddy, who is in fray as Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate for Kadapa Lok Sabha seat, has accused the Congress and the YSR Congress of being partners in corruption and plundering public funds by resorting to irregularities, making money through special economic zones, turning Jalayagnam into money-spinner and plundering mineral wealth. The two parties were hoping to win by unleashing their money-power, but both would lose as the people would elect a leader who was reasonable and had moral values, Dr. Reddy told newsmen after filing his nomination papers in the Collectorate. The Kiran Kumar Reddy government lacked courage to institute inquiries into irregularities, the TDP candidate alleged, and said the State had never seen such a spineless and confused government in the past. Describing corruption as a blow to democracy, he maintained that corruption was hampering development of the nation. Dr. Mysoora Reddy, who came in a padayatra to file nomination papers before Returning Officer for Kadapa LS constituency Shashi Bhushan Kumar, earlier garlanded party founder N.T. Rama Rao's statue en route. Developmental programmes were shelved and welfare schemes had taken a backseat, he alleged. The people would elect a clean leader by routing the corrupt ones, the MP hoped. TDP MPs Nama Nageswara Rao and Gundu Sudha Rani, MLCs Rajendra Prasad, S.V. Satish Kumar Reddy, and MLAs Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Peddi Reddy, Amarnatha Reddy, G. Muddukrishnama Naidu, Yerraballi Dayakar Rao, M. Linga Reddy, and leaders Alladi Rajkumar, Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy, Varla Ramaiah, C.M. Suresh Naidu, P. Ramasubba Reddy, M. Venkatasiva Reddy, Teegala Krishna Reddy and leaders of Kadapa were present.
