‘More output with less input'

KOLAR: P.N. Srinivasachari, secretary of the Department of Minor Irrigation and nodal secretary of Kolar district, on Monday counselled farmers to adopt a new crop pattern to yield more output with less input. He also advised them on economical usage of water in a district which is facing acute scarcity of water. Mr. Srinivasachari was speaking to presspersons after reviewing a demonstration of paddy cultivation under Sri Paddhati by farmers in about 100 acres of land in Nallur tank achkut area in Mulbagal taluk.
He lauded the efforts of Nallur farmers. Agriculture University coordinator Eshwarappa gave details about the cultivation.
