10-year-old girl crushed to death

KHAMMAM: In a tragic incident, a 10-year-old girl was crushed to death under a tractor at Teldarpally village in Khammam rural mandal on Tuesday.

According to the police, T. Srilatha, a class IV student of Teldarpally, accidentally fell off from a tractor and came under the wheels of the moving vehicle in the heart of the village on Tuesday afternoon.

She sustained head injuries and died on the spot.

She was accompanying her father to the agriculture field when the incident happened, sources said.

A pall of gloom descended on the village following the tragic death of Srilatha in the accident. Khammam rural police registered a case and are investigating.
