Working on pricing mechanism for Indian market The products will be available from May HYDERABAD: Adobe Systems Incorporated is actively considering introduction of paid subscription for Indian consumers for its range of products, including the latest Creative Suite 5.5. The company which launched subscription packages on yearly and month-to-month basis overseas is yet to arrive at the pricing mechanism for Indian market. “We are very close and an announcement will be made shortly,” Adobe Systems Country Manager Prabhjeet Singh said hinting that the subscription for select range of products could be around Rs.5,000 a month. Mr. Singh was here in connection with the road show organised to promote Adobe's latest Creative Suite with estimated price for the master collection pegged at Rs.1.54 lakh, design premium suite (Rs.1.13 lakh), web premium suite (Rs.1.07 lakh) and production premium suite (Rs.1.01 lakh). The products were under shipment and would be available in the market from May. Mr. Singh told reporters on Tuesday that the company had aggressive plans for expanding the Indian operations. The centres at Noida and Bangalore employed close to 1,800 people currently and the number was likely to go up as the quantum of operations had increased substantially. Over 20 products released by the firm were owned by the Indian centre. Replying to queries, he said Adobe did not see need for developing customised products for Indian market as users here were well versed with English.
