Police arrest 68 persons, recover stolen property

Bangalore: The North East Division police have apprehended 68 persons, including burglars and vehicle lifters, in the last 45 days and recovered stolen property worth Rs. 1.35 crore from their possession.
The police arrested them in connection with 130 cases and recovered gold, cash, cars, motorcycles, a goods carrier and electronic gadgets. Bangalore police Commissioner Shankar M. Bidari told presspersons the Yelahanka, Kodigehalli, Devanahalli International Airport police, Amrithahalli and Kothanur police made the arrests.
Some of the arrested persons sold the stolen goods and bought expensive goods and electronic gadgets, the police said.
