Jama-ath warning

Staff Reporter

COIMBATORE: Those who had undertaken Haj pilgrimage in the last five years should not apply again, Coimbatore District Jama-ath has said.

In a release, Haji M.J. Mohham Ali, General Secretary, Coimbatore District Jama-ath, said such persons should not even apply under the Haj-e-Badal (going on the pilgrimage on behalf of others) category. If they were found applying a second time, the Jama-ath would initiate strict action, he said and appealed to people to pave the way for first timers to enjoy the benefits of the government's assistance for the pilgrimage.

Those planning to go in 2011 should apply to the Central Haj committee, through the respective State committees, by April 30.
