Haryana wheat arrivals total 33.3 lakh tonnes

CHANDIGARH: Wheat arrivals in Haryana have reached 33.3 lakh tonnes so far during the ongoing procurement season.

Disclosing this here on Friday, a spokesman of the Haryana Food & Supplies Department said over 33.29 lakh tonnes of wheat had been purchased by six government procuring agencies at the minimum support price and 1,053 tonnes of wheat by the traders.

Over 10.82 lakh tonnes of wheat has been purchased by HAFED, 8.54 lakh tonnes by the Food & Supplies Department, 5.28 lakh tonnes by the Food Corporation of India, 3.25 lakh tonnes by Agro Industries, 3.09 lakh tonnes by Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 2.27 lakh tonnes by CONFED, he added. - PTI
