Mohammad Adnan scores century

Chennai: Mohammad Adnan's century was the highlight of Khan's CA's 32-run win over Little Hearts in a match of the KSL-FSCA under-12 tournament, here recently.

The scores: Khan's CA 178 for four in 25 overs (Mohd. Adnan 101) bt Little Hearts 146 for eight in 25 overs (G. Sunano 35, Karan Rahul 45).

CSSF 137 for no loss in 20 overs (S. Abhishek 49, Ajay Priyadarshan 63) bt Asiatic 129 for six in 20 overs (S. Laxmikanth 51, Atma Rishi 33).

FSCA ‘B' 95 for five in 20 overs (Anirudh Chandrasekar 46 n.o., S. Vishal three for 25) lost to VBCA 96 for no loss in 14.1 overs (Audhi Sachin 32 n.o., Arun 46 n.o.).

Rajesh shines

V. Rajesh Kumar's all-round performance (26 runs and four wickets) helped North Chennai register a 65-run victory over Kannaiah in the Swastik under-16 cricket tournament here recently.

The scores: North Chennai CA 150 in 28.2 overs (S. Agilesh Ragav 33, V. Rajesh Kumar 26, V. Balaji 33. Leo Sachin three for 33) bt Kannaiah CA 85 in 20.3 overs (Ukendra Babu 26, V. Rajesh Kumar four for four, G. Ankit three for nine).

Swastik CP ‘A' 124 for nine in 30 overs (M.R. Prahalad 37, S. Harshavardhan 25, U. Vishal three for 21, R. Sundar three for 16) lost to Little Hearts CA 125 for six in 26.5 overs (Sachin Kailash 33, U. Vishal 32).

Chennai Stars CA 67 in 6.1 overs (V. Rajesh Kumar three for 16) lost to North Chennai CA 69 for one in 6.1 overs (Vinay Prakash Pandey 25 n.o., S. Agilesh Ragav 29 n.o.).

Kannaiah CA 84 for seven in 30 overs (R.S. Jaganath Srinivas 27, Siddarth Ahuja three for 18) lost to Kedar CA 87 for one in 8.4 overs (S. Arvind 46 n.o., Soorya 31 n.o.).

Dicky tournaments

Chennai St. Bede's Sporting Federation will conduct the Dicky memorial inter-camp under-14 cricket tournament and the Dicky Super Trophy in the under-16 category. The former will be held between May 16 and 21 while the latter will take place between April 25 and 29.

The Dicky memorial trophy will see 12 teams, eight from Chennai and four from other Districts, participate while eight teams (five from Chennai) will fight it out for the Dicky Super Trophy.

The tournaments are sponsored by India Cements with Sumeru Soft and Gautham's Offset being the co-sponsors.

Cricket camp

Asiatic Cricket Academy will conduct its coaching camp for seniors and boys over 15 years of age at Sri Sankara Vidyalaya MHSS, Pammal in Chennai. For details contact E. Umashankar (ph: 93810 25901).

Raju and Nivedhitha

are champions

Raju and Nivedhitha claimed the top honours in the men's and women's senior categories respectively of the Chennai District chess championship recently.

The results:

Men: Seniors: 1. S. Raju, 2. V. Haribalu, 3. Abdul Azeem. Under-25: 1. M. Sabareesh, 2. Pranav Vijay, 3. P.M. Karthik.

Women: Seniors: 1. J.G. Nivedhitha, 2. N. Haripriya, 3. P. Balakannamma. Under-25: 1. N. Keerthana, 2. A. Prakruthee, 3. Sai Lathecka .
