Windscreens damaged in stone pelting

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Windscreens of atleast nine vehicles were smashed in a stone pelting incident on the Aruppukottai Sayalkudi Road at Kaloorani on Saturday evening. However no one was injured, the police said.

The incident is suspected to have been sparked by the stone pelting on the car of Tamil Puligal founder Nagai Thiruvalluvan in the vicinity. No one has been arrested with regard to the incident. The Superintendent of Police, S. Prabhakaran, visited the spot.
