HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Ward Development Committee Members Association has sought honorary wages and allowances for telephone, stationery and travel to the members apart from health insurance and study tours. The association which met recently and elected Gattu Jyothi Narasimha Rao as president resolved on identity cards for the members and to take responsibility in development works taken up in the wards. It also wanted the mention of the ward member names on plaques set up during inauguration of development works and permission for letterheads and visiting cards. In a representation made to Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, the association listed out its resolutions which included seeking appointment of Permanent Ward Officer and for supervision of ward committee, appointment of Special Officer equivalent to Additional Commissioner.
