SSN honours Ashwin
CHENNAI: Off-spinner R. Ashwin, who was part of India's 2011 World Cup-winning squad, was honoured by S.S.N. Institutions at a function here on Tuesday.
S.S.N. founder and HCL chairman, Shiv Nadar, felicitated Ashwin via teleconference.
“It is extremely gratifying to see a student of our institution rise to this level of national eminence. We hope to produce more such talents, ” said Mr. Nadar.
Accepting the honour, Ashwin said, “Being honoured by one's own institution amidst an audience of college mates is indeed a proud moment for me.”
