KADAPA: Congress and YSR Congress were once partners in corruption and the defeat of the two parties would safeguard democracy in Kadapa district, CPI State Committee member G. Obulesu asserted on Wednesday. Byelections came up in Kadapa and Pulivendula owing to internal differences in the Congress, Mr. Obulesu told newsmen here. The Congress was making a mockery of democracy by abuse of power and YSR Congress by money power, he alleged. Congress and Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy cannot be viewed separately, he observed. sCongress amassed wealth during YSR rule and the party would go into oblivion in 2014, Mr. Obulesu alleged. The party was backing the TDP, he said.
