Applications invited for diploma courses

Candidates can contact CDH office in Tondiarpet


CHENNAI: Chennai Corporation is inviting applications for two diploma courses being offered at the Communicable Diseases Hospital in Tondiarpet.

A release said that the courses – Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) and Training Course for Nursing Assistant – are open for students of Chennai Schools run by the Corporation and the wards of the civic body employees. Students of government schools would also be admitted depending on the availability of seats.

Those who have passed XII examination with physics, chemistry, biology and zoology as core subjects can apply for the DMLT course. While the age limit for BC and MBC candidates is between 17 and 30, SC/ST candidates aged up to 35 may apply for the two-year course. A monthly fee of Rs.300 would be charged.

Candidates who have passed X Standard may apply for the nursing assistant course.

A monthly fee of Rs.75 would be charged for the one-year course. Candidates may contact the CDH office on Tiruvottiyur High Road, Tondiarpet, the release said.
