KOLKATA: Raymond, a leading textile manufacturer and retailer, is entering the economy segment by making a foray into retailing of poly viscose fabrics through a new brand ‘Makers'. The range comprises poly viscose and poly-wool trouser fabrics and a range of shirting fabric in cotton, linen and cotton blends. Announcing the launch, Aniruddha Deshmukh, President (Textiles), said that initially, the brand was being launched in Andhra Pradesh, eastern Uttar Pradesh and in the four eastern States. The fabrics now being launched are in the Rs.129-400 a metre range with poly-wool suiting in the Rs.250-400 range and would be sold through multi-brand outlets.
