NEW DELHI: World champion Sushil Kumar will not be part of the Indian contingent for the Asian wrestling championship to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from May 19 to 22. According to his personal trainer Yashvir Singh, Sushil, also the current Asian champion in 66kg freestyle category, did not participate in the selection trials as he was not fully fit. Sushil had won the gold medal in his last international outing, the Commonwealth Games, in October. The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) on Thursday announced a 21-member squad for the Asian championship. The squad: Men: Freestyle: Rahul Aware (55kg), Rajneesh (60kg), Parveen Rana (66kg), Deepak (74kg), Naresh Kumar (84kg), Mausam Khatri (96kg), Naveen Mor (120kg). Greco Roman: Rajender Kumar (55kg), Anil (60kg), Sandeep Yadav (66kg), Rajesh Kumar (74kg), Mahipal Singh (84kg), Amit Kumar (96kg), Rishi Pal (120kg). Women: Priyanka Singh (48kg), Babita Kumari (51kg), Geeta (55kg), Alka Tomar (59kg), Sakshi Malik (63kg), Navjot Kaur (67kg), Gursharanpreet Kaur (72kg) . — Sports Reporter
