CUDDALORE: Dravidar Kazhagam cadre staged a demonstration near the ‘uzhavar sandhai' here on Thursday urging the Centre to take steps to declare Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa a war criminal and also impose economic sanction against the Island Nation. They alleged that Mr. Rajapaksa was instrumental in the large-scale annihilation of ethnic Tamils and therefore the Centre should initiate legal proceedings against him in the International Court of Justice and obtain suitable indictment against him. The Sri Lankan Tamils, who shed blood for upholding their rights, should be rendered justice, they said. Party leaders such as S. Ariviukkarasu and Thandapandi participated.
