Ninety schools have recorded cent percent pass in the district. KOCHI: Schools in the district registered a good show at the results were announced for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination on Thursday. Ninety schools have recorded cent percent pass, with all students who appeared in the examination qualifying for higher studies, in the district. This included 38 in Aluva education district, 21 in Ernakulam, 11 in Kothamangalam and 20 in Muvattupuzha. The schools that witnessed all students who appeared being qualified for higher education in Aluva education district were St. John The Baptist CSIEMHS, Aluva; Islamic HSS, Aluva; The Alwaye Settlement HSS, Aluva; FACT Township High School, Eloor, Udyogamandal; Nirmala HSS School, Aluva; Holy Ghost Convent H.S.S for Girls, Thottakkattukara; St. Joseph's EMHS, Thrikkakara; SHOHS, Mookkannur; Ambalamedu HS; St. Joseph's Girls HS, Chengal, Kalady; St. Sebastian's HS, Kanjoor; Akavoor HS, Sreemoolanagaram; Bethlehem Girls HS, Njaralloor, Kizhakkambalam; St. Mary's HSS, Morakkala, Kumarapuram; St. Joseph's CGHS, Kanjoor; St. Peter's VHSS, Kolenchery; Govt. HSS, Pampakuda; St. Joseph's Girls HS, Arakuzha; Govt. VHSS, East Marady; Govt. VHSS, Thirumarady; Iype Memorial HS, Kaloor; St. Mary's HS, Nakapuzha; St. Augustine's HSS, Kalloorkad; Infant Jesus Higher Secondary School, Vazhakulam; St. Little Teresa's High School, Vazhakulam; St. Sebastian's HS, Anicadu, Avoli; Govt. HSS, Mammalassery; Guardian Angel EMHSS, Mannoor; and Vivekananda Vidyalayam, Kadathy East, Muvattupuzha. More than 38,000 students in the district had appeared for this year's SSLC examination. Students appearing for the examination in the district had gone up to 38,400 this year compared to 34,001 last year; an increase of 4,399. Of the total students, 19,228 were girls and 19,172 boys. Last year, the numbers were 17,118 and 16,883 respectively. Another 1,055 students appeared for the examination in the Lakshadweep Island. Examinations were held at over 309 centres in Ernakulam district.
