Rat snake causes stir in Ali Askar Road BBMP's Forest Cell staff catches the snake BANGALORE: A six-foot snake was spotted at Embassy Point, Ali Asker Road, at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Word spread and within minutes, a large crowd gathered. After many failed attempts to catch it, someone called the Bhurat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike's (BBMP) Forest Cell. Meanwhile, the snake made its way up a tree next to the commercial complex. Before the BBMP team could arrive, Venkatesh K., a driver, clambered up the tree and shook its branches till the reptile fell to the ground. The day was saved with the arrival of Mohan K. of the BBMP's Forest Cell. Without much ado, he caught the snake and put it into his bag. While most breathed a sigh of relief, others asked to see the reptile. Mr. Mohan then showed it to the curious lot.
