Over 7,500 cases under investigation till 2009: police

HYDERABAD: There are 7,590 cases under investigation till 2009, the Hyderabad police said on Friday.

Replying to queries from Majlis Bachao Tehreek corporator, Amjduellah Khan, under the Right to Information Act, the Hyderabad Police Joint Commissioner, Administration, M. Mahesh Bhagwat, informed the corporator that the details of cases under investigation for the years 2010 and 2011 would be given later.

Zone-wise details of cases under investigation are as follows: South-1,765, North-754, Central-1,223, East-1,052, West-1,473 and Detective Department-1,326.
