Staff Reporter

SANGAREDDY: Collector S. Suresh Kumar and Superintendent of Police A. Sunder Kumar Das visited Siripuram village in Hatnoora mandal on Saturday and advised the local people to live peacefully respecting each other.

The village was in the news recently when a huge number of Dalits were socially boycotted by the other communities over an issue of allotment of land for the erection of Ambedkar statue. Both the senior officers visited the village as part of observing the Civil Rights Day on 30th of every month.

Water supply

Mr. Suresh Kumar assured the villagers to construct the Ambedkar statue. He has also directed the officials to use the funds for attending the drinking water problem in the village and priority should be accorded for Dalit colony.

Mr. Sunder Kumar Das asked the people to contact the police department in case there was any problem in the village.
