EC shifts Budwel CI

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Election Commission (EC) on Saturday shifted inspector K. Ullsaiah from Budwel police station in Kadapa district, responding to a complaint lodged by the YSR Congress Party that he was canvassing for the Congress in his operation area, intimidating the followers of other parties.

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhanwar Lal told this correspondent that the Commission had asked the State government to suggest a panel of three names to fill the vacancy immediately to take care of the law and order issues during the process of the by-elections that reached a crucial stage. The Commission would select one of the three names for the post.
