NIZAMABAD: The medical camp jointly conducted by the Indian Medical Association and the Officers Club, Nizamabad at Kalur village in the mandal on Sunday evoked good response with a number of villagers turning up to the camp to get examined by specialist doctors. The camp was inaugurated by the District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Harinath. About 15 specialist doctors examined as many as 360 patients ailing from different diseases and distributed medicines worth Rs.1.50 lakh free of cost. The medicine was provided by the IMA members and the Officers' Club, said the dermatologist and club joint secretary Dr. R. Vidyasagar. The camp was successful as specialist doctors besides physicians came forward to examine patients. Referred to hospitals At least five patients were found to be suffering from diabetics and many were ailing with chest diseases. Critical diseases Patients who were found ailing from critical diseases were referred to other hospitals, said Dr. Anumandla Satyanarayana, the IMA district president. The IMA secretary K. Subash and senior doctors Sreedhar, Muthanna, G. Koulaiah, Ramadevi, Chandrasekhar, Krishnamoorthy, Praveen and Dr. Suman participated in the camp.
