Give a specific plan on Telangana, KCR told

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam MLA from Telangana N. Janardhan Reddy has advised Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao to come up with specific plan of action for achieving separate Statehood instead of criticising the leaders of other parties from the region.

The TRS president should focus more on the objective of separate Telangana, not for building up his party's image as separate statehood would be realised only through a combined effort. “Mr. Rao should focus on exposing Seemandhra leaders like Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal not on the Telangana counterparts,” Dr. Janardhan Reddy said.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he termed as “disappointing” the meeting organised by the TRS in Mahbubnagar as it failed to come up with specific action plan. The celebration of one decade in existence could not evolve a clear direction or a plan of action for reaching the goal.

The senior TDP leader said he was going ahead with the proposed public meeting in support of separate Telangana at his native Nagarkurnool constituency on May 9 in spite of opposition from a section of party leaders. The meeting would be followed by similar events in Parigi and other places.

He asserted his stand on Telangana was clear and “I am not prepared for any compromises on the issue”. Dr. Reddy refuted the charge that efforts were underway to unite leaders from the Reddy community to lead the movement for separate State.
